Case study: How Africell Sierra Leone enhanced the capacity of its 26 link backbone with 4x4 MIMO
Africell Sierra Leone struggled with the lack of spectrum in their region and their subsequent inability to provide high capacity to their radio access network. They needed a cost-effective alternative to connecting fiber to their sites. Aviat proposed solving the capacity constraint using MIMO technology to get the most out of the available spectrum without degrading any performance of the microwave network.

Application note: WTM 4000 built-in spectrum analyzer
WTM 4000 Spectrum Analyzer feature is a built-in and license-free diagnostic feature to enable the user to check for potential interfering signals and measure the level of interference across the desired frequency range (limited by the diplexer bandwidth) and check the RSL (received signal level) of the interfering signal in 1.4 MHz steps.

Case study: Vodafone Fiji successfully deploys LOS MIMO link using Aviat WTM 4000 solution
Vodafone Fiji needed a solution to provide over 2 Gbps of capacity over a distance of more than 6.5 kilometers, but there was only one problem: lack of frequency spectrum. Vodafone only had a single 80 MHz channel allocation in the 11 GHz band. Aviat was able to design a link using their WTM 4000 all-outdoor radio platform, employing Line-of-Sight (LOS) MIMO to quadruple the efficiency of the single available frequency channel.

White paper: MPLS + SDN + NFV World Congress Public Multi-Vendor Interoperability Test 2017
The European Advanced Networking Test Center and Upperside Conferences invited interested vendors to our public multi-vendor interoperability test and showcase at the MPLS + SDN + NFV World Congress 2017. All 15 participants, including Aviat Networks, were able to actively shape the program and set the course during the preparation of the hot-staging.
The hot staging itself was a closed doors fully immersive test event taking place at EANTC’s lab in Berlin, with the whole set-up being transported and demonstrated live at the Paris conference. Successful results are published in the white paper.
